- Instrument Miniature Ball Bearings- Although these are two different categories, they are generally the same. The miniature bearing must fall within a specific size to qualify as a miniature bearing. The instrument bearing does not have to fall within a specific size range but covers a lot of the miniature bearings. The instrument bearings must be ABEC 5 or greater and have specific characteristics that miniature bearings are not required to have. These include having uniform running torque, smooth operation and limits on the amount of vibration, a definite contact angle or preload (or both), and these are required to have very high cleanliness standards.

Radial Ball Bearings- Radial ball bearings perform well in dirty environments and need very little service. These bearings are very useful high-speed applications. MMB stocks several clearance options (C0-C5), rubber sealed(2RS), metal shielded (ZZ), and open types of these bearings. These can come with a standard set of balls or a max-type set. There are many different options of grease that MMB can provide for these bearings.

6800-6900 (also numbered as 61800 and 61900) metric series
Needle Roller Bearings- Needle rollers are generally open on the inside and have a solid cage on the outside. They can come with an inner ring. An overview of needle bearings includes standard full complement and caged needle bearings, cam followers, and roller followers to name a few. This type of bearing handles high loads very well and can withstand oscillation with greater rigidity. These come in a variety of sizes and are available in chrome, stainless steel, or black oxide material.
