Cylindrical roller bearings are bearings that use cylinders as the rolling elements as opposed to balls in ball bearings. The rollers have a larger contact area with the outer ring and can issue loads across a wide surface. These bearings have two rings called an inner and outer ring that is separated by a set of cylinders. These cylinders support both rings, are supported with a cage, and reduce friction.
